Our experiences grow out of the land, the rhythm of the seasons and the skills of the people who live on the estate every day. They are not catalogue activities: they are different ways into the environment we look after.

Weekend Experience

Once or twice a month, all inclusive

San Lodovico is open all year for ordinary stays. In addition, once or twice a month we host exclusive all-inclusive events: two nights in the lodges, every meal from the Chef’s kitchen and a programme of guided experiences shaped by the season.

They are the deepest way to live the estate: a few guests, one theme, and the time to follow it.

The olive harvest

The experiences of your stay

Experiences are always included in your stay. They are arranged when you book, depending on season and weather.

Land

Forest bathing

Walking slowly through the woods, breathing, listening. A guided immersion with Maurizio Maggiorotti, physician and founder of the Accademia Wilderness, to enter the forest with all your senses.

Wilderness by 4×4

Aboard a 4×4, along estate tracks that would take hours on foot. The guide chooses the route each time, respecting the land and keeping the ride comfortable and safe.

Natural tracking

Trekking and track-reading along four trails of different difficulty: the Roe Deer (easy), the Elves (easy to moderate), the Fairies (moderate) and the Wolf (advanced). Footprints, trails, feeding signs: you learn to recognise who lives in the wilderness, even without seeing them.

Night-time observation with a thermal viewer, from spots chosen according to the season and the movements of the animals.

Gamekeeper

Lattanzio Benelli

Maremma gamekeeper and wildlife manager, a man of the woods: he knows every path on the estate and every sign its wildlife leaves.

Resident Chef

Paolo Vannicola

Born in Rome, trained alongside Michelin-starred chefs. He grows the estate’s vegetable garden and leads cooking classes in the Tuscan tradition, with ingredients from the garden and the woods.
